Bybit: proving you own your self-custody wallet

Bybit collects Travel Rule details on deposits and withdrawals (exchange vs personal wallet, whose wallet, name, and on Bybit EU a purpose). On Bybit EU, some transfers also require connecting the wallet and signing via a verification link. Flows differ by Bybit entity.

Never share your seed phrase or private key. Bybit only needs a signature, a small test deposit or the details it asks for in its own app. Last checked 2026-10-27. Not legal advice.
Bybit entities differ. Connect-and-sign ownership steps are taken from Bybit EU's FAQ. The global FAQ documents declaration fields only. Always follow the screens for your own Bybit entity.
